AVC Vienna 2021 is an international leader of officially recognized awards for wine quality and officially recognized by the European Union. AVC Vienna 2021 sets the benchmark for world-renowned wine tasting competitions. 12,525 wines from 1,641 producers from 44 countries faced an international challenge.

THE INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION IN THE BALKANS (BIWC) is the first of its kind. It celebrates the millennial tradition of wine production on the Balkan Peninsula expressed in its modern Balkan wines — enjoyed daily and loved by the locals and more and more loved by wine lovers around the world. Dedicated exclusively to regional wines, this annual competition – to be held in the heart of the Balkans, in Sofia, Bulgaria – seeks to draw the world’s wine community’s attention to the unique range of flavors this interesting region has to offer. The competition is open to wine producers from all Balkan countries, the Black Sea region and the world. The Balkan wine festival that will accompany the competition is open to wine lovers.
